The Mayor of the Races

East Moline, Illinois -It’s true that the former Mayor of East Moline, Joe Moreno, is a much-admired politician in the Quad Cities, also it is true that he is a well known runner. Moreno has participated in prestigious races all around North America, and for about 20 years he has played an important role as organizer and director of many local races. Taking all of these into account, he could be recognized as the Mayor of the Races.
As summer has already gotten underway, you have probably seen people running along the side of the road either training for an upcoming race or just leisurely jogging as they enjoy the nice weather. Most of us know about the 5K races that support a number of different causes and themes but one company took the idea of a race and drug it through the mud…literally.
Davenport, Iowa- Three Haitian students in the Quad City will be facing a difficult challenge when they return to their native country, which was ransacked by a strong earthquake last January.

Urijah Faber (23-3-0) is half man and half machine. Urijah the man is who walked into the cage last June to face Mike Brown. Brown was the first to snap the thirteen-win streak of Faber’s at the end of 2008, also taking the Featherweight belt from around Urijah’s waist.
